Calafate, Argentina, was so peaceful and beautiful and I am so happy that I got to experience this trip with my family. This post is a focus on just one part of our trip, the beauty of the Perito Moreno Glaciers. Although the best time to visit is in the summer, winter for us is summer for them and vice-versa, I was still able to capture the motions of the ice calving – which actually sounds like bombs going off. We were a bit concerned since we were visiting in the winter time and felt that ice shouldn’t calve so easily then, but after doing research I was pleased to learn this particular glacier is “unusual” as it is advancing while all others are retreating. I definitely recommend a visit if you ever decide to travel to La Patagonia. Even the drive to the glacier was so breath taking, we had to stop and have a quick photo shoot. The photos and videos are just a mere reflection and can’t compare to the emotions you feel when you are standing there in person.
